London seems to have a different air about it since the 7th of July, which is understandable but rather un-nerving.
The scenes when they arrested the suspected suicide bombers yesterday was crazy to watch. A policemen dressed in raid gear and banging furiously on an possibl suspects door was instantly intensified ten fold when a small child walked around the corner straight up to the policemen, making a bee line for his dog. It was like a scene out of a movie where you just knew what was going to happen next and the audience felt themselves breathing in and holding there breaths, and exactly at that point whilst the policemen tried to get the child to safety another child appeared around the corner and instantly started shouting back to where he had appeared from. The scene could of been horrific but luckily everything seemed to turn out well.
I was speaking to a friend who is an undercover copper. On Thursday nearly all trains/tubes had police on them and alot of on the spot checks/searches were being carried out. The sight of the police is a good thing, if it deters it works. Unfortunalty the worry now is the police are tired and resources will start to be stretched even more. But the undercover cop said he got on the tube and sat next to a Nigerian looking man, who looked at the copper and said ''They didnt search me'' ... the man proceeded to then get a copy of the Kahran out of his bag and sat there reading it on the train journey ... *need I say more*
Oh & p.s 'We are still not Afraid'

On a lighter note. I am currently trying to buy Missy Higgins concert tickets www.missyhiggins.com, and am being asked to pay an extra £10 on top for booking, processing fees, this is madness it never used to be that much! plus has anyone noticed it seems about 99% of websites selling tickets all link you straight back to the same one! *one I will not name, but you know the one*

''Ohhh Estee Lauder has lovely new purfume, lipstick, talc ... it's exspensive I know but very nice.''
I'm off to raid the nearest Estee Lauder counter now *and a bank on the way*
