Excuse me!! ... ID please...

Last night I met up with a mate hadnt seen in ageeessss. So we arrived at a pub *first time visit* I go straight to the bar to get drinks, I ask the barmen if the pool table is free upstairs,

''yes but thats a £5 deposit. And i need to see some ID for you to be in here?" he replies.

It's been years since i was asked for ID so i couldnt help but laugh, of course the man isnt joking and said i looked 16!!!! ..... so last night I lost 8 years and dont really want to be 16 again.

Of course, silly little me has no driving license on me so had to trek home again and pick it up!! *& make a detour to my local pub, to be served without questioning* ... I think the barmen thought I was undercover police, cos I sure as hell dont look 16.

So I am either 16 or a policewomen???

Must admit I thought of it quite cool to be thought of as a policewomen *or maybe thats just the uniform*

so. me and my mate played some pool. straight away we are bounced on by three guys. wanting to 'play' the winner, which ended up being me! ... the next game my friend says she will play for money. as these three guys where typical husslers & me & my friend being rather observant had worked out there game plan.

my friend is down 3 balls. I tell her to start playing and teach these husslers a lesson, of which she does and I couldnt stop laughing as she won the game. of course they refused to hand over the winnings and when they finally did part with there money asked us to buy them drinks.
at this point we made a sharp exit and left.

*shamefully we ran to my car. I mean the husslers just got hussled by a pair of girls hahahahahaaaaaaa*

South Bank.

Last week I had a friend to stay, so on Thursday I took her to the, South Bank (London) to do a little sight seeing.

We started off at the Millennium Wheel (embankment)
<-------this is the boat we missed to take us up the Thames to the Tate Modern, (my friend was in charge of this part of the day) so we ended up walking to the Tate, which was nice along the river, dodging the joggers, *mid-afternoon lets go running, am I the only one who thinks the hottest part of the day is not the best time to go running!?!*

We visited the Tate Modern, ----> this was my own first time here, and I would venture in again, being that it is all free the works of art are extensive. Some pieces of ''art'' I had hard time taking them as ''art'' but it was most interesting.

<---- Then we headed across the ''wobbly bridge'' or real name, millennium bridge, (it is nicked named wobbly as when first built it used to wobble back and forth) towards St Pauls Catherdral (tower bridge is in the background)

walked to St Pauls Catherdral. we ventured inside to find it was £8.00 an adult to visit or free if you wished to join in, in a service *me and my friend couldn't make this concept out!* this building is our hertiage to vist we pay to pray is free we found this terribly ridiculous.

so we headed back over the wobbly <------ bridge, got ourselves a 99p with a flake and sunned ourselves waiting for our boat to take us back up to the Embankment.

And as we waited I ventured into making my own Tate Modern masterpiece *haha*

So then we ventured on to the boat to take us back up to the Embankment sat up-stairs, on the boat we had commentry to what we was passing and the man talking kept getting it wrong, and when he said now we are heading into the 'millennium bridge'' i was like, ''umm don't you mean under the bridge!!!!''

We saw BigBen and houses of parliment, before docking under the Millenium Wheel

After which we headed along the river to one of my fave little quiet pubs over looking the thames, and had some early dinner, ice cold beer and headed home. The South Bank has so much to offer. And I have always thought it's better to be south of the river.

That was my thursday afternoon

& I must say I do love London.
