Recently I sat for a painting after being asked by a friend if she could paint me, she is gay,

“you just wish to see me with my top off!?!” was my initial response.
“well…” slyly smirks
I said, “OK then” (after a little thought)

The painting of my nude top half didn’t look like me when finished, abstract art, but I knew it was me, she who painted me knew it was me and that thought was rather pervy and got me into painting. For some reason I love to paint. OK admittedly I’m not great, maybe in time that will change, but I seem to enjoy portraits at the moment. Finding out I have a different creative side is intresting, unfortunately when I show my art to indiviaulds there a long silence followed by an expression of ‘I don’t like this’ ‘this is art’ ‘what is it’ … etc etc strangely when this happens it doesn’t knock my confidence because I like painting too much…
*maybe I should post a picture of my art work I mean as I was told recently theres someone out there who will buy any old rubbish’ .. ouch

''girl #1: We're not going to KFC! Their food is, like, poison.
girl #2: Yeah, they kill their chickens alive.

overheardinnewyork.com website if youre in one of those 'quick scan through, need to waste some time at work' states of mind. every ''overheard' piece seems to have the same kink to it, as written by the same person, but I'm sure on some NY train at some place and time things stated on the site just must of been said or at the very least thought!
I just thought the one mentioned above was smirk worthy..

In the news lately is the case of the 'human lab rats' whos medical trial went wrong with six of the men who had taken part having a dangerous lergic reaction to the drugs and ending up in intensive care. This is a terribly sad story, and I'm sure all the men would claim they where par-taking in the research to benefit 'human kind.' Isn't medical training seen as a way of earning a few extra pounds for simply swallowing a few pills? The men where reportedly getting paid £2000 which in fair ness for swallowing a few pills and taking a few days off work doesn't sound like a bad deal.
But then, does this mean the men valued their own health and life at £2000? I don't value my life, or health to be worth £2000. Its priceless. Does it make the people taking part selfish? greedy? simply in need of extra cash? or do they truly believe for the sum of £2000 they where helping out man kind?
The company that executed the medical trial had never tested on humans prior to this event.

I was recently in an department store and there was a lady speaking quite loudly to customer service, she was having quite a heated debate over returning some item of clothing. She was black. The two men helping her out at customer service were also black. The lady complaining wasn't getting very far in being given a refund and decided to declare, "Is it cos I'm black?" I admittedly smiled and was taken back a bit at this comment. The two guys serving the lady suddenly held the same expression.

Missy Higgins St James Church, London Pictures...

Missy Higgins.

Last Tuesday I went to see the AMAZING Miss Missy Higgins ....

At St James Church, London. Missy Higgins?? not heard of her she is a young talent from Australia with a unique, unforgettable voice you will be instantly drawn to.
A young guy called Ben ? (shamefully I forget his surname), performed before Missy he was very good, a tad depressing with his lyrics especially being sat in a church. Seated at the pews, the packed church was buzzing for Missy to appear and perform and when she did the 90% majority Australian audience clapped and cheered as Missy took her place on stage. Of which she is natural of being on.
My tickets for the show where a birthday gift, one of the best gifts I have been given in a long while. I had waited for this night for so long. Missy is an amazing performer. She joked around on stage. Was at ease with the crowd. Gave background to her songs. And when she played 'The cactus that found beat' (one of my fave songs) I was jumping in my pew (unfort we couldnt stand)
The crowd being mostly Australians I was tempted to stand up and say Aussie Aussie Aussie but my friend quickly pointed out we would probably be mobbed if I did so...being that a huge percent of the audience was gay women for the life of me I couldnt see being mobbed as a bad thing at the time. Saying that I did keep my mouth shut. Was ever so hard though.
An amazing week I had last week. Missy was not the start the Monday I went to see Al Start (google her) perform in Brighton as part of Brighton Live week (google it) OK so Al Start isnt normally my kind of music and admittedly I don't own any of her CD's but she is gay and ever so freaking cute. Was a pleasure to have her singing whilst sitting with excellent company, with a few drinks.
Thursday I was showing a friend around Greenwich, sightseeing. Took a river cruise back up the Thames to get home, best way to see London espeically if you seat right at the front as me and my friend did. Knackering day but enjoyable. Visited a pub called the Admiral Hardy, pointed to me by a friend. Gay pub by the name you would be right to think so. Cool chilled out atmosphere though so was all good. Went to the Observatory to the meridian line ohhhh first time going there. At least I can say I have been. Greenwich Royal park is very nice to walk around. And how friendly are London squirrels. Jesus.
Then to top off the week Friday I treked back down to Brighton to see the Brighton Gospel Choir. They performance was great. A joy to listen and watch. Perfect for a Friday I mean very up lifting. My friend who I rather had to drag along, who in the end enjoyed it very much, wanted to curl up and run away as the choir got everyone joining in by clapping, swinging with the music.

Shame after a hectic week of entertaining, sight seeing, music going, emergency doctors, wine and dining ... it's back to work on Monday. Ahhh well that's how it goes.

Buy THE SOUND OF WHITE by MISSY HIGGINS ... if you don't like it then I, I .... I won't believe you for a minute.

Excuse me!! ... ID please...

Last night I met up with a mate hadnt seen in ageeessss. So we arrived at a pub *first time visit* I go straight to the bar to get drinks, I ask the barmen if the pool table is free upstairs,

''yes but thats a £5 deposit. And i need to see some ID for you to be in here?" he replies.

It's been years since i was asked for ID so i couldnt help but laugh, of course the man isnt joking and said i looked 16!!!! ..... so last night I lost 8 years and dont really want to be 16 again.

Of course, silly little me has no driving license on me so had to trek home again and pick it up!! *& make a detour to my local pub, to be served without questioning* ... I think the barmen thought I was undercover police, cos I sure as hell dont look 16.

So I am either 16 or a policewomen???

Must admit I thought of it quite cool to be thought of as a policewomen *or maybe thats just the uniform*

so. me and my mate played some pool. straight away we are bounced on by three guys. wanting to 'play' the winner, which ended up being me! ... the next game my friend says she will play for money. as these three guys where typical husslers & me & my friend being rather observant had worked out there game plan.

my friend is down 3 balls. I tell her to start playing and teach these husslers a lesson, of which she does and I couldnt stop laughing as she won the game. of course they refused to hand over the winnings and when they finally did part with there money asked us to buy them drinks.
at this point we made a sharp exit and left.

*shamefully we ran to my car. I mean the husslers just got hussled by a pair of girls hahahahahaaaaaaa*
